Description
Prickly brambles with sweet berries twine ‘round the curves of this summer blue pottery tankard. Holds just over a pint.
Each earthenware piece is hand carved and then painted using underglazes I blend myself, before being inlaid with oxide washes and finally glaze fired. The theme of each motif continues to the underside, which is textured with custom made rollers and impression tools.
The is handbuilt, rather than wheel thrown, and the earthy style rejects the confines of machined symmetry, instead offering interesting visual lines and tactile satisfaction.
You will receive one dish, as above, please note each is hand carved and painted – no two are exactly alike.
Dishwasher safe, but why not hand wash and enjoy the details of this fine mug?

This is my third tankard I purchased from Miss Eli, and it won’t be my last. I couldn’t be happier. She makes fantastic quality pieces of functional art that brim with detail and love. I use these for hot and cold drinks and they withstand it daily with no problems. Even the packaging is wonderful and done with obvious care.
