Blushing Pink Porcelain Bone Earrings

These bone-shaped porcelain beads are pulled and twisted, cupped and pierced from raw clay, before being buffed smooth and bisqued, sanded to silky and then fired.

The tactile, unglazed (fully vitrified) surface is white, and as a result of the alchemy of the kiln, may have undertones pearly to crisp, the faintest blue to hints of orange pink.

The delicate beads are then rosary wired and strung into 2 1/2 inch earrings, accented here with luscious pink glass pearls.
