Description
A carved and glazed terracotta tile featuring a goddess of rolling hills and fertile fields adorns this curvy pottery tankard. Holds just over a pint.
Each earthenware piece is hand carved and then painted using underglazes I blend myself, before being inlaid with oxide washes and finally glaze fired. The theme of each motif continues to the underside, which is textured with custom made rollers and impression tools.
The is handbuilt, rather than wheel thrown, and the earthy style rejects the confines of machined symmetry, instead offering interesting visual lines and tactile satisfaction.
You will receive one tankard, as above, please note each is hand built, carved and painted – no two are exactly alike.
Dishwasher safe, but why not hand wash and enjoy the details of this fine mug?
